The Music of the Day
General Gist & The Mexican Cadillac cover a lot of Classic Rock era songs from the 1970’s as well as Alternative Rock era songs from the 1990’s. Sometimes they’ll throw some more recent material into their mix to keep our set a little more current. They put their own spin on some tunes, just to shake things up a bit! Typically, they have something for everyone who likes rock and roll music and they’re a great party band for The Worthy Brewfest!
Feel Good Drift started out as front man Alex Rohan was playing solo acoustic shows at local bars around the area. Not too long after, Marty Thompson stepped in and started playing lead guitar and adding more feel to the songs. Soon after Marty, Corey Villamaino joined the group to play drums.
Without practice, the 3 got together one Thursday night at a local bar called Nathan Bills. After a few songs, Alex, Marty and Corey were amazed at the response they were getting from the people listening… they loved it. Besides the fact that the crowd enjoyed the music genres and style the band was playing… they were more amazed by the fact that it was the first time the 3 had gotten together and were blending so well and collaborating the way they were. After a few more Thursday shows and other offers to play other shows around the area, they decided to get a name. The music they play has a good feel and the jam band style with Marty’s intense guitar solos has the band drifting off into a musical collaboration that will be sure to get you moving…Later on, childhood friend of Alex, Joe Stafilarakis was added to the band as Feel Good Drift’s Bass player/backup vocals. Finally, Feel Good Drift was created.
